Terms of Service

SocZap is an AI-assisted drafting tool that helps you generate responses to vendor security questionnaires. The Service processes questionnaire documents you upload and generates draft responses based on a security profile you provide.

SocZap is a drafting aid only. It is not a compliance certification platform, legal advisor, or security auditor. Nothing produced by the Service constitutes legal advice, compliance certification, or a guarantee of any kind.

You must review all AI-generated responses before submitting them to any third party.

The Service uses large language models (currently OpenAI GPT-4o) to generate draft responses. AI-generated content:

• May be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated.
• May not reflect your organization’s actual security posture if your profile is incomplete or inaccurate.
• Is not verified by SocZap for factual accuracy.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying every response before it is submitted to any prospect, customer, auditor, or other third party. Submitting inaccurate representations in a security questionnaire may constitute a misrepresentation and could expose you to legal liability. SocZap is not responsible for the consequences of submitting AI-generated content without adequate review.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate responses that you know to be false or misleading.
• Upload files containing malware, illegal content, or content that violates third-party rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its APIs.
• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Share your account credentials or resell access to the Service.
• Circumvent plan limits through multiple accounts or other means.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules at our sole discretion.

Free plan: The free plan is available without a credit card and includes 3 questionnaire responses per month. No trial period applies to the free plan.

Paid plans: Starter and Pro plans are billed monthly by Stripe. Paid plans include a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. After the trial, your card is charged at the applicable monthly rate.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal (Settings → Manage subscription). Access continues through the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for unused time.

Price changes: We may change subscription pricing with 30 days’ advance notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

You retain all ownership of the content you upload (questionnaire files, security profile data). You grant SocZap a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any purpose other than delivering the Service.

The SocZap brand, software, and interface are owned by SocZap and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that ai-generated content will be accurate or suitable for any particular use.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SocZap’s total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim, or (b) $50. In no event shall SocZap be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, loss of data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory asserted (contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SocZap from any claims, losses, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) content you submit using the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. You may close your account through Settings → Danger zone. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
